Nongam Yega

Nongam Yega is a Korean woodworking studio that has carried forward over forty years of craftsmanship. Today, its tradition continues through artist Seowoo, the successor to master woodcraftsman Park Bong-gyu, who creates each piece using time-honored techniques.
At the heart of the studio's practice is Taeumjil (태움질), a traditional method that employs fire, water, and wood to finish the surface without the use of lacquer. This process reveals the depth of the wood grain while preserving its naturally smooth texture and warmth. Rooted in the quiet beauty of natural materials, each piece brings a sense of comfort and calm into everyday life.

Pine Tea Tray

Crafted from pine using the traditional Taeumjil firing technique, this tea tray celebrates the quiet beauty of natural wood. The rich grain, revealed through fire, creates a deep, organic surface, while the absence of lacquer allows the wood's natural texture and subtle fragrance to remain intact.
A built-in water collection drawer offers practical convenience, while its restrained form and tranquil presence create an atmosphere of calm for the tea table. Designed to age gracefully, the tray develops even greater character with years of use.

* As each tray is individually handcrafted, variations in wood grain, color, and dimensions are natural characteristics of the material and the traditional firing process. Slight irregularities in the surface may also occur as part of the handmade production.

[Care Instructions]
To preserve the beauty of the wood, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or sources of heat, as changes in temperature may cause discoloration, warping, or cracking. Store and use the tray in a dry environment. If water or other liquids come into contact with the surface, wipe them away promptly with a soft, dry cloth and allow the tray to dry completely.
During the initial period of use, a small amount of soot residue may transfer when wiping the surface with a dry cloth. This is a natural characteristic of the Taeumjil process and will gradually diminish with continued use. For long-term stability, place the tray on a flat, level surface to help prevent distortion over time.

Tea

It captures the natural aroma of tea leaves, sculpted by the mountains, wind, and sunlight. A cup steeped in the energy of nature gently connects you to the rhythm of your day.
