In conjunction with the exhibition, we have prepared an opportunity to experience the etiquette and beauty of the tea ceremony in a tranquil tea room with a warm cup of tea.
Led by Ms. Sokei Jifuku, an instructor of the Urasenke school of Japanese tea ceremony, three participants at a time will be served koicha (thick tea) and usucha (thin tea) sequentially. You can experience the etiquette of the Japanese tea ceremony and the simple, comfortable atmosphere conveyed by a hermit's tea room.
We hope you will savor the meaning and lingering impression of the tea ceremony as you appreciate the tea bowls while enjoying your tea.

During the exhibition period, we have prepared a special time with Kim Young-tae (Dansan), a potter from Gonmyeongyo. A tea ceremony from the Goryeo Dynasty will unfold, where 'Jotaeyeonga Muhyangcha,' made in the form of Dan tea, is ground on a Da-yeon (tea inkstone) and then whisked. You can experience a profound moment where tea and ceramics meet while drinking tea in the Goryeo style. Afterwards, we will share the time of ceramics built by earth, fire, and the sensation of hands, and continue the conversation with the artist.

‘Breathe, slowly observe, and enjoy a peaceful rest.’ In the embrace of a quiet forest, in the heart of a tea garden where only the morning sunlight filtering through leaves rustling in the wind and the chirping of birds reside. It’s a time to settle deep within yourself with a warm cup of tea.
Step away from your busy daily life for a moment and deeply breathe, slowly observe, and feel the peaceful resonance that connects you with nature. Five-sense meditation through tea, which opens your senses and calms your mind, and walking meditation, which soothes your body and mind as you walk along the earth's energy, will be offered. A time of deep rest and warm recovery awaits you amidst the fragrant green scenery.

We have prepared [Sochun 小春], a tea pairing session that marks the beginning of the exhibition.
This is an opportunity to experience the works of Sairyuki and Jin’gogyo Hwangs Seung-wook, through a tea pairing course featuring 다식 (dasik, traditional Korean confectionery) and tea made with seasonal ingredients, curated by director Lim Bo-eun.
At the end of October, after the first snow between Minor Snow and Major Snow, we captured the essence of 'a small spring in winter'. We invite you to experience a tea ceremony that lingers at the border of seasons.

Meet the Artist - Yoo Tae-geun

During the exhibition, there will be an opportunity to meet artist Tae-geun Yoo over tea. This is a chance to hear stories about white porcelain and blue-and-white porcelain, and learn about appreciating ceramics directly from the artist, while sharing tea. We have prepared a welcome tea that suits the season and the exhibition, along with Korean green tea or yellow tea served in a meditation-friendly "bodeum-i" cup. Afterwards, you can enjoy whisked matcha and wagashi in a bodeum-i. We hope you'll take the time to appreciate and enjoy the artist's work.
We hope this will be a meaningful time where you can communicate with the artist and own your very own bodeum-i cup.
