Winter, a season of contemplation where cold air embraces mornings and evenings and autumn leaves fall, is approaching. We present a two-person exhibition, 'Winter Reflection (冬の思索),' featuring artist Sairyuuki, active in Kyoto, Japan, and Hwang Seung-wook of Jingokyo, Korea.
This is a meaningful occasion to witness the works of two artists, connected through cultural exchange between Korea and Japan, primarily focusing on deep and serene Buncheong ceramics reminiscent of winter. Works crafted using various techniques such as dumping (dumbeong), brushing (gwiyal), and impressing (inhwa), with tea and the "Four Treasures of the Study" as their companions, convey a quiet resonance.
We invite you to share in the winter reflection at Teahouse Hada.
